Photographers Welcome

New photographers are always welcome, if you wish to join us please note the strange criteria set as our guidelines.

Let me explain, we originally set up phil-can.com as a location where Filipinos who immigrated to Canada or planned on immigrating to Canada could view photos of their prospective or new homeland.

Likewise we found it equally important to share with the world the wonderful country and people of the Philippines.

The pre-requisite, of a Filipino connection. Are you a Filipino, or are you married to a Filipino? If the answer is yes then read on to the rest of the criteria.

All images must conform to a strict no pornography rule; our webhosts will cut our connections so before they do that we would have to invoke a ban on anyone who did post porn or links to porn.

Now that we have that out of the way, the purpose of this website is not the place to post family photos. What we are posting is photos of people, places and way of life.

In a nutshell, do your best to avoid posting images that contain your family or friends.

If in doubt, ask, or use the existing albums as a guideline.

We use Photoshop Elements 8 to resize and watermark our images.

The font we used is Mistral, the font size was 6 and the opacity 100%

Convert files to JPEG MaxQuality

Color was Golden Yellow/Orange, however it’s up to you what color you wish to use, and it does however seem to be the best overall choice.

The program houses the original but creates a new image from the original to display, thus the need to start with a higher quality image.
