On April 4th 2011 we completed a rebuild of our website so that we could take advantage of a new technology as well much newer and more advanced programming.

Our goal was and remains to provide you the viewer with outstanding collections of photos from both the Philippines and Canada (the origin of our website name phil-can.com)

However it did not take long before we realized the importance of adding a lot of additional countries so we decided to open our latest album called "Global World" This section is for all countries other than the Philippines and Canada.

The amazing improvements in Gallery 3 are nothing short of phenomenal and make online photo albums a pleasure to navigate and much easier for photographers to share their amazing collections.

New features to our website include;

· The new galleries take advantage of GPS imbedded photos to show where images were taken. Not all photos have GPS data, but we will be adding a lot of photos that do have imbedded coordinates. This feature makes it possible to display images without having to write locations in the descriptions of photos.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Microsoft Internet Explorer appears to be the only browser that continually crashes because it is not able to handle the number of GPS coordinates on our photo pages. We highly recommended you use either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox to view the albums.

· Send an e-card We have added a feature that will allow you to send any of our images as a email postcard to that special someone. Look at the sidebar and you will see a button called E-Card

· Another new feature is a Facebook Recommend it will allow you to share photos with your Facebook friends.

· Also a feature we now have is Contact Photographer, allowing our viewers to contact our photographers if you’re interested in purchasing a photo or wish to contact them for other reasons.

· New for 2011 is viewers will be able to comment on photos, however to insure no vulgar language is used all comments will be subject to review.

Our photo collections are a unique insight on some very interesting locations, showing images of people, scenery, fauna, flora, buildings from all over the world. In particular photos that are unique, in hopes that our viewers might have a better understanding of those people and places we have photographed.

Please note that photo descriptions can be found under the photos (if there is a description) many photos need no description or there may not have been time yet to add one.

At the time of this update the number of Photos and Albums are as follows. We will keep you updated here in regards to the status of each library.
